About the property

What the owner says ...."We have lived in Bourne Ave for 33 years and have enjoyed bringing up our family in this quiet neighbourhood. We have extended the house to make it a spacious family home and feel it is time to move into something a bit smaller now our children have grown up.We are a very sociable family and have spent many hours over the years in the beautiful garden and large breakfasting kitchen. The studio at the bottom of the garden is a creative get-away for the artistic members of the family enabling them to follow their many interests and keep the mess out of the house! We extended the house to allow our children to have their own rooms, to create a home office and have 2 separate sitting room/TV areas. Christmas and special occasions have always been enjoyed in the dining room, and we have been fortunate to have a kitchen large enough for a kitchen and breakfast bar for every day.Our children and grandchildren attended the outstanding schools and nurseries in the local area where they made lifelong friendships. The Town Moor has been a great place to walk our dog over the years, and we also have enjoyed being part of the allotment community on Fenham Hall Drive. We are keen walkers and often enjoyed the 20 minute walk into town, though the bus service is frequent. We have loved living in Bourne Ave as we can easily drive to the coast or into Northumberland very quickly. We hope that our house of 33 years can become a wonderful home for another family.
