First impressions stick!

When buyers search for properties online, their minds are made up in a matter of seconds. We've outlined some key do's and don'ts to help showcase your property to its full potential - and as a result a quicker sale!

Below is our handy guide for presenting your property for quality photographs and 360° tours.

Show off your space

  • De-clutter where possible to avoid your home appearing smaller than it is
  • Keep bathroom toilettres and bathroom products out of sight

Keep it clean

  • Clear kitchen worktops & remove dishes from sink/draining board
  • Tackle lime-scale build up, heavy staining and any grotty grouting around your kitchen and bathroom tiles

Now where's that tool box?

  • Sensitively repair or remove tired or broken fixtures and fittings and attend to any small DIY jobs
  • Tend to broken door knobs, cracked tiles, kitchen cupboards and anything else that can be easily repaired

Freshen it up

  • Partial redecoration to some rooms is worth considering, such as a fresh lick of paint or adding some flowers
  • A newly painted front door will make a good impression, as well as plant pots or a hanging basket

Give your property a "live here feel"

  • Too often people worry about removing all trace of personalisation; however buyers want to experience that all important "I could live here" feeling so a homely feel is a good thing

Don't forget the garden

  • Remove any vehicles from driveway
  • Ensure any bins are out of sight
  • Remove potential hazards, such as panes of glass or loose bricks and paving slabs
  • Ensure gardens are well tended and not overgrown or out of control
